Accomplished financial advisor Christopher Fess offers a wide range of financial services such as retirement planning, investment assistance, employee benefits, and education funding through his own firm, Fess Financial. Since 2010, Christopher Fess has consistently been named to Texas Monthly’s Five Star Wealth Managers list for the Dallas/Fort Worth Area.
Texas Monthly, in partnership with Crescendo Business Services, conducts a survey among Texas Monthly subscribers, financial services providers, and consumers to identify the wealth advisors who scored the highest in overall client satisfaction. Texas Monthly hopes to help consumers make intelligent decisions in choosing the right professional from among the more than 20,000 financial managers in Dallas and Fort Worth.
Candidates for the Five Star Wealth Manager award must satisfy 10 objective criteria: five eligibility criteria and five evaluation criteria. Under the eligibility criteria, the candidate must (1) hold the credential of a registered investment adviser; (2) have possessed an active license as a registered investment adviser for the previous 5 years; (3) have a favorable complaint and regulatory history; (4) have completed his or her firm review according to internal standards; (5) have been accepting clients as of the date of nomination.
Under the evaluation criteria, the candidate is considered based on his or her (1) client retention rate of at least one year; (2) client retention rate of five years; (3) administration of clients’ non-discretionary or non-institutional discretionary assets; (4) number of household clients served; (5) education and professional designations.
To give credence to the list, the candidates do not pay anything to be considered in the survey or included in the final list. Also, the list should not be misconstrued as endorsing any wealth managers on the final list. Finally, the Five Star Wealth Manager award does not guarantee successful future investments for any client who works with an awardee.
