Wimbledon is one of the most prestigious professional tennis tournaments in the world. The tournament launched in 1877, but was cancelled for 2020 as a result of the COVID-19 global pandemic, marking the first year it won't be contested since World War II. Here are the three most recent men's singles champions at Wimbledon:

1. Novak Djokovic (2019) - Djokovic won his second consecutive Wimbledon championship and the fifth of his career in 2019 by defeating Roger Federer in the finals. The entire match took nearly 5 hours, while the fifth and final set lasted a little more than 2 hours.

2. Novak Djokovic (2018) - Djokovic defeated Kevin Andersen of South Africa in straight sets in 2018 to win his fourth Wimbledon championship. It was the first finals appearance for Andersen.

3. Roger Federer (2017) - Federer, who won Wimbledon in five consecutive years from 2003 to 2007, won his eighth Wimbledon championship in 2017 with a three-set victory over Marin Čilić. He also won in 2009 and 2012.
